Create Balance Psychotherapy and Counselling are seeking a Medicare registered psychologist, mental health social worker or mental health occupational therapist for a flexible contractor position.
What we offer
We will offer the successful candidate a generous percentage split of the consultation fees, flexible hours, monthly supervision, the provision of resources, practice management, virtual reception and marketing management. Additional supervision for clinical psychologists or equivalent may be negotiated. The ideal candidate will also be given opportunities to build upon their therapeutic area of interest and be given opportunities to pursue new areas of interest.
Who we are
Create Balance Psychotherapy and Counselling is a mental health practice offering support to clients in the Geelong region and online, Australia wide. We are a rapidly growing business, due to our genuinely empathetic and dedicated therapists and our utilisation of effective and innovative therapies and technologies, including EMDR and photobiomodulation (low level laser therapy).
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will be experienced, or willing to be supported, in treating complex mental health presentations, such as trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, relationship issues and ADHD. They will have experience in, or a willingness to upskill in, the practice of Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). They will have knowledge of and an interest in Attachment Theory, Parts Therapy or Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness based therapies.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent ability to build rapport and trust with clients. They will have high level communication and interpersonal skills, as well as efficient organisational, multitasking and IT skills. They will have experience, or a willingness to be supported, in conducting assessments, writing clinical reports and liaising with other relevant professionals and will be registered with AHPRA or AASW. The ideal candidate will have a Medicare registration or the eligibility to be a Medicare provider. They will have their own ABN and professional indemnity insurance.
